BODY CALM COACHING

Body Calm, created by Sandy C Newbigging, is a system of self healing and includes a meditation technique that stimulates the relaxation response which in turn reduces stress and allows the body to come back into harmony so it can heal, since that is what our bodies are designed to do, given the right environment! (meaning physical, mental and emotional environment).

Body Calm includes the philosophy that health is more than the absence of dis-ease and that rather, it is a state of holistic harmony. We all know that stress is a major cause of dis-ease, but what causes stress? Stress is still a symptom, and it is the conflict between what your mind wants and what your higher self knows you need that causes the stress.

Body Calm also has a directory of common physical conditions/ailments and the possible mind based cause of each.

By asking relevant questions one can find out what the ultimate cause of your condition might be. For example if you have arthritis, some useful questions to ask yourself would be:

  • Do I have very fixed ideas about things?

  • Where in my life am I giving out without getting back what I need?

  • Do I have any unresolved childhood rejections?

  • Am I unhappy with my life but not doing anything to improve it?

These are just a few examples of the 'digging deeper" we would do in a session, and from there we would show you some simple exercises to help clear any baggage and get peace with your body, and an easy to learn meditation technique to reduce stress and overthinking and a way to heal the conflict you might have in your life.

Most often 4 sessions will be required to encompass the entire Body Calm method. Sometimes we will take bits of it and combine it with the other therapies we do for a unique, tailor made session.

The first session cost is R900 (90 minutes) and follow up sessions are R650 (45 minutes to 1 hour) .

A 4 session package is R2500. Online sessions offer 10% discount.
